The Rolex Middle Sea Race is one of offshore sailing’s most prestigious events. 606 nautical miles. Starting and finishing in Valletta, circumnavigating Sicily, with everything the Mediterranean can throw at you along the way.
This year, Bongani and Seawolf are both entered — and for the first time in years, they race together. Both boats are already full for 2026. If you want to be part of it in 2027, now is the time to register your interest.
We offer berths on both boats for experienced sailors who want to take on a race of this calibre but don’t have access to a boat or an established crew. This is not an introduction to sailing. It is an opportunity for sailors who are ready for the challenge to step onto a serious offshore racing yacht and compete among those at the highest level.
On a 606 nautical mile race, you will hot bunk, stand watch, helm, navigate, and work as a crew through whatever conditions the Mediterranean decides to offer. You will earn every nautical mile.
Each boat carries a professional race skipper and highly experienced first mate. Full safety equipment is provided. Crew are expected to bring appropriate offshore sailing gear. Food and drinks are carefully planned for the duration.
With our own two matched boats on the same course, daily positions, overall race times, and final standings give Bongani and Seawolf their own race within the race.
